Mighty Kindness Harvest Hootenanny Saturday, November 7th 11-6 at Willow Park
Mighty Kindness is a local community unity organization and online resource that seeks to bring together all things in our eco-region that create a circle of sustainability and contribute to our common wealth.
This year's 2nd annual Earth Day Hootenanny was such a hit, people asked us to have another Hootenanny in the fall.....so we are! This is an opportunity to bring our community together in joy and fellowship and let them know about all of the phenomenal services that exist in their own backyard! . Come spread the good word about your kindness...it's free to table and participate!
Come enjoy inspiring local performers, witness the wonder of our mighty kids being educated and entertained, discover community services that you never knew existed, find out about products provided by your neighbors that are good for you and eco-friendly, and meet local farmers & get fresh produce delivered to your door. Come hobnob with the heart of our commonwealth - where earth advocates,peaceful warriors, union members, social justice workers, eco-conscious business people, artists, healers,dreamers, heroes & heroines all come together to create a community with vision, beauty, wholeness, and a healthy respect for our beloved Earth!
There will be a number of different things going on throughout the day, including:
Mighty KIDness Tent - An area dedicated to the kid's and their families. There will be local children's organizations with earth-friendly fun & educational activities for the kids!
Mighty Kind CommUnity - A gathering of many organizations & businesses all in one place, sharing with each other and the community at large what their groups are doing to help make Louisville a Greener, Happier & Healthier place to live!
Free School - Various discussions/workshops from making green cleaners, to mountaintop removal, to composting
Farmer's Market- meet local farmers, support organic agriculture and get a CSA to receive healthy, delicious produce weekly grown right down the road!
The Art in eARTh Music & Dance Festival - a variety of local musicians, poets, dance troupes will inspire and amaze you! PLUS...an Eco-Costume Contest, bobbing for apples, a Parade, Community silliness, prizes and more!!!
